Every case is a sentence with one mystery word. Read the clues around it, work out what it means, and crack the case before anyone hands you the definition.
How to play
A sentence comes in with one word marked. No glossary, no hints handed to you, just the clues already in the sentence. Read what surrounds the word, then pick the meaning it must have. That is the move that works in every book you will ever open.
The Mayor: Welcome to the case room, detective. I hand you the file, you read the scene, and when you solve it I make it official. Shall we open the first one?
